A famous fengshui master has said that local celebrity Jack Neo should install a fish pond to resolve his personal crisis and avoid more scandals.

The fengshui master’s predictions came right after Jack Neo’s scandalous affair with a 22-year-old model was made public.

STOMPer Geomancerist hopes that Neo will heed the fengshui master’s advice and turn his life around.

"Master Hui Jie, a famous fengshui master, told Xin Ming Ri Bao that according to his "sheng chen ba zi tui suan" (calculations based on date of birth and the 8 characters of the Chinese horoscope), Jack Neo’s fortune started to decline from April 2009 and this will continue till 2011.

"He must resolve his personal crisis by May 5, or he may be unable to turn his calamities into blessings.

"Master Hui Jie also advised that for Jack to turn his fortune around and to avoid further scandals, he should install in his house a miniature fountain or a fish pond.

"I hope Jack Neo will consider listening to the advice to turn his own life around."

Jack Neo scandal: Men should beware girls who kiss-and-tell

Following the Jack Neo debacle, STOMPer Watchoutmen says that Singaporean men should be more careful when they get involved with girls, as they might try to shame them if the relationship turns sour.

Singapore’s most successful movie director, Jack Neo, 50, is now in the media limelight after his affair with a 22-year-old model, Wendy Chong, was exposed when she turned up at his Pasir Ris home recently to confront Jack’s wife.

Now, another girl, actress-hostess Foyce Le Xuan, 25, has come forward, claiming that six years ago, Jack had pursued her passionately for a year, even promising to groom her to become the next Fann Wong.

STOMPer Watchoutmen said:

"We’ve heard the Edison Chen and Tiger Woods sex scandals. And now, Singapore finally has its own scandal involving Jack Neo.

"While I am disappointed with Jack Neo for his extramarital affair, I think it’s unfair to put all the blame on him.

"If he’s a jerk, then what about that Wendy Chong girl? She knew he was married, yet she got involved with him. And now she’s playing a damsel in distress?

"She said she wanted to shame Jack to prevent him from doing the same things to other ‘victims’. How is she a victim in all this? She is just as guilty as Jack because she knew she was getting involved with a married man. If anyone is a victim, it’s Jack’s wife and family.

"It’s always easier to blame the guy when a relationship goes wrong, but I think girls should take ownership of their actions too. It takes two hands to clap.

"They say they want equality in everything, but when a relationship goes wrong, they want to play the weaker sex. Is that fair?

"And now another girl has come forward to shame him, just like how Tiger Woods’ girls slowly started to reveal their trysts with the golfer.

"I urge guys to be more careful when they get involved with girls.

"They might say they love you, but like the saying goes, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned — if they’re unhappy with you, they would do anything to shame you.

"And it seems that girls hunt in a pack."

Both Wendy and Foyce are now revealing their involvement with Jack Neo, saying that they want to shame him and warn others that he is a ’serial cheater’.

Foyce said in an interview: "I want people to know that Jack is a serial cheater.

"A lot of the reports now are skewed towards him and his family.

"He said he still loves his family, and the public pities his wife and blames Wendy Chong.

"Then this experience will have no effect on Jack and girls will continue to be conned by him.’

Wendy said: "I was stupid lor. I can only say, ya lah, I made the mistake."

She told The New Paper that she was upset because Jack had kept her away from the gala premiere of Being Human at VivoCity last Tuesday.

Wendy said:

"I had a part in the film too, so why was I not invited up on the stage when the cast made its appearance?

"He was blowing hot and cold in our relationship. I could not understand why he was doing this to me after we’d been together all this time.

"Since we were going to end everything, I wanted everyone to know what an ass the real Jack Neo is.

"I wanted to shame him — so that he cannot do this to another victim."

Study on nuclear energy to begin this year

Study on nuclear energy to begin this year

SINGAPORE: A feasibility study by a multi—agency group of whether nuclear energy can be a long—term option for Singapore, will be commencing later this year.

The effort will be led by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, announced its Senior Minister of State S Iswaran on Monday, and it will aim to "ensure that we fully understand, and objectively evaluate from all perspectives, the opportunities, challenges and risks involved with nuclear energy".

Public concerns have been surfaced about the risks considering Singapore’s size and population density.

"Indeed, these were some of the reasons for not considering the option before," acknowledged Mr Iswaran.

"But new technologies are being developed to address some of the key concerns associated with nuclear energy, and to make nuclear reactors smaller and safer, at a lower cost and with less high—level waste.

"Some of these technologies are in the early stages of commercialisation and we need to study if they could be feasible in our context."

Mr Iswaran made several arguments for mulling the nuclear option. It could "potentially enhance energy security, reduce carbon emissions, and mitigate the impact of volatile oil and gas prices".

Then, there are small states like Switzerland and island—nations like Japan that have made great strides in nuclear energy in the last four decades.

There is also "merit in building up our knowledge and expertise in nuclear science which has applications in diagnostic medicine and cancer treatment" — it could yield therapeutic and economic benefits, he added.

We wanted to shame him

March 9th, 2010

Wendy Chong (left) and Foyce Le Xuan said they didn’t dare to reject his advances because they were then new to the industry and both were flattered to get the attention of the hot-shot movie director.

THE two young women who have come forward to reveal their trysts with film-maker Jack Neo in the local media said they wanted to shame him and warned others that he is a ’serial cheater’.

Freelance model Wendy Chong, 22, and actress-hostess Foyce Le Xuan, 25, who were involved with Neo, 50, several years ago but decided to speak up now, said they didn’t dare to reject his advances because they were then new to the industry and both were flattered to get the attention of the hot-shot movie director.

Expressing regrets and guilt over their involvement with the married man and father of four, they told the Chinese media and The New Paper in separate interviews in the last two days that they now realise that it was lust and not love that Neo hit on them.

Chong, who broke the news of her affair with Neo last Saturday after she showed up at his Pasir Ris home a day earlier, demanding to see Neo’s wife, Madam Irene Kng, 46, told TNP on Monday: ‘I wanted to shame him – so that he cannot do this to another victim.’

And why did Le wait six years to tell her story?

‘I want people to know that Jack is a serial cheater,’ she said.

‘A lot of the reports now are skewed towards him and his family. He said he still loves his family, and the public pities his wife and blames Wendy Chong. Then this experience will have no effect on Jack and girls will continue to be conned by him.’

Chong, who blamed herself for getting into a mess with Neo, said: ‘I was stupid lor. I can only say, ya lah, I made the mistake.’

Her family did not know about about the affair until last weekend. She said she had kept it a closed secret because ‘I knew the only way to be with him, that we can still be together, is without anyone finding out.’

In an interview with Shin Daily News published on Monday, Chong said: ‘I now realise I was wrong and I have hurt many people. I shouldn’t have gone into an affair in the first place, shouldn’t have fallen in love with him.

‘It’s like taking drugs, you think you have control of your feelings and yourself, but in the end, I couldn’t get out of the mess. I just got myself more and tangled and eventually found myself at a dead end.

‘Previously, I didn’t give a damn to anything else in the pursuit of love. I just wanted to possess him, regardless of whether I was right or wrong. And I got myself into a mess.’

She said the this episode has made her realise that ‘it’s only your family who will stand by you.’

Man raped ex-GF’s mother

March 9th, 2010

man raped exgfs mother thumbnail Man raped ex GFs mother

SHE arrived home in the wee hours of the morning and went into her room to sleep.

The unemployed woman, 25, had no idea that in the next room, her mother, 48, a cashier, had been bound and gagged and was being sexually assaulted in what eventually became a horrifying six-hour ordeal.

The attacker, 27, a dispatch rider for a fast food restaurant, was so audacious that at one point, he even went to the kitchen to get a drink before continuing with his attack.

The young woman was also unaware that the attacker was someone she knew – her ex-boyfriend. Later that day, when she told him what had happened to her mother, he even asked her to keep him updated if she heard anything about the police investigations.

We are not naming them because there is a court order against identifying the victim. Yesterday, the man was sentenced to 25 years in jail and 24 strokes of the cane by Justice Chan Seng Onn.

He pleaded guilty to four charges of aggravated rape, aggravated sexual assault by penetration, attempted aggravated rape and housebreaking by night.

Three other charges of theft, attempted aggravated rape and aggravated molest were taken into consideration during sentencing.

Deputy Public Prosecutors Tan Boon Khai and Chua Ying-Hong told the court that the man had gone to his ex-girlfriend’s flat to visit her in November 2008. They broke up 10 years ago but remained in touch.

While there, he saw a bunch of keys left on the television cabinet and decided to steal them. He asked his ex-girlfriend to get him a drink and when she went into the kitchen, he took the keys.

Then, five months later, on 3 Apr last year, the two were SMS-ing each other and he found out that she would be returning home late that day.

As he was in need of money, he decided to break into her flat using the keys he had stolen. He knew that his ex-girlfriend shared the flat with her mother, who is a divorcee.

The man packed an orange T-shirt, a pair of gloves and some masking tape into his haversack before leaving for the flat. He entered using the stolen keys shortly after 1am the next day. But before that, he used the orange T-shirt to cover his face, leaving only his eyes exposed.

Masking tape
The man, who was wearing his gloves, first went to check that his ex-girlfriend was not in her room. He did not go into her room because he knew that she had no valuables.

Instead, he went into her mother’s room and switched on the lights. The woman woke up, but the man covered her mouth with masking tape and told her to “shut up”. He then tied her arms to the bedpost.

Using masking tape and a piece of cloth he found in the flat, he covered her eyes and face, then tried to rape her, but was unsuccessful. When the masking tape over her mouth came loose, she asked him to let her go to the toilet, but he ignored her.

His ex-girlfriend returned home about three hours later at 4am and sent him an SMS asking him to call her the next day. The man panicked and remained quiet in the room. He stuffed a hair band into the woman’s mouth to prevent her from shouting.

After he heard his ex-girlfriend going into her bedroom, he went to the kitchen and got two bottles of water from the refrigerator as he was thirsty.

He then returned to the woman’s room and used a cloth to cover the gap under the room door to avoid being detected by his ex-girlfriend.

The man then molested the woman as she remained bound and gagged.

At about 5.30am, the woman’s handphone alarm sounded. It was during this time that he went on to sexually assault her with his fingers.

Following this, he tried to rape her but failed.

The woman later told him that she needed to go to the toilet. He again ignored her and instead, tightened the masking tape around her mouth.

The woman had no choice but to defecate and urinate on her bed. After cleaning her up, he again tried to rape her. This time, he was successful.

The man left the flat at about 7am. He later threw away his T-shirt and masking tape into a rubbish bin at the ground floor of his block.

He stole the woman’s handphone and $100.

By the time she managed to untie herself and call her sister for help, it was already past 8am. Her sister and brother-in-law arrived at her flat to find her crying and her arms still bound. They untied her and called the police.

The victim was given an emergency contraceptive by a doctor later that day to prevent an unwanted pregnancy.

Arrested
The man later sent his ex-girlfriend multiple SMS-es asking if the police had discovered any evidence. He also told her to let him know if there were any updates.

He was arrested on 23 Apr last year, after DNA found on the woman and her clothes were traced back to him.

In court yesterday, the man, who did not have a lawyer, asked for a copy of the court documents so that he could read them.

He wiped away tears as the details of his attack were read out by the prosecution, who said that he had treated her as his “personal sex slave”.

None of his family members turned up.

Among his charges, aggravated sexual assault by penetration and aggravated rape carried the highest penalty.

He could have been jailed 20 years and caned at least 12 strokes on each charge.
